Ties are shown as ties (T-2nd) and never broken here, since conferences use long rules that are not in the data; inside a tie teams are listed by their ranking in The Davis Rankings, for display only. Nothing here changes a team's ranking.

How conferences did against everyone else

Ranked by each conference's combined non-conference win/loss record through the week you pick (FCS opponents are excluded and tracked separately in their own FCS Record column). A team does not control who is in its own conference, only who it schedules outside of it, so this ranks conferences by how their members do against everyone else. It is a different measure from the standings below, which only look inside each conference. Independents and any group smaller than four teams get a note under the table instead of a row.
